aboutus
Alex Ann is a New York City–based multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between poetry, mixed media, and music—each medium offering a different doorway into introspection, storytelling, and community connection. Her poetry serves as an intimate form of self-expression, while her mixed media collage and decoupage practice creates visual worlds that gently disconnect from the noise of society and reconnect with the inner self. Through layered imagery, hidden messages, and symbolic foreshadowing, her work invites viewers to pause, question, and momentarily step outside the everyday.
With deep respect for music as a spiritual force, Alex draws from her background as a classically trained singer, allowing rhythm, tone, and emotional resonance to guide her creative process. As a New York City–based artist, she creates for many reasons: to express what words cannot hold, to step away from society and return to self, to share lessons and wisdom through imagery, and simply because making art feels inseparable from her purpose on earth. Her artistry extends beyond personal expression into humanitarian practice—building spaces, platforms, and opportunities for other creatives to thrive.
She is the founder of Ace Agency, a project management agency created with the intention of serving as a community-rooted platform designed to uplift local and coastal artists. Through advising, consultation, media support, and event production, Ace Agency provides structure, guidance, and visibility to creatives navigating their artistic journeys. During the pandemic, her commitment to community expanded with the creation of Tribe Magazine, a grassroots initiative designed to keep borough creatives connected, informed, and celebrated during a time of profound isolation.
At the heart of her work lies a single mission: to create art that nurtures the individual while strengthening the collective. Alex Ann stands as both an artist and a steward—honoring creativity not just as a personal practice, but as a communal lifeline.
